Yesterday, the ACGME unveiled its plans for a major overhaul of residency and fellowship program accreditation. I would encourage all faculty, housestaff and support staff to review the article from the New England Journal of Medicine describing the changes that will come into effect for many programs as early as July, 2013 and be completed in 2014.
