[UFID] Obtain U.F. GatorLink Email Address
You will be eligible to receive a GatorLink Account which will include all its central services.
To create a GatorLink account, simply visit https://login.ufl.edu and click on the link that reads ‘GatorLink Account Creation’. You will need to have your 8-digit UFID number. To find out what your UFID is, visit http://www.it.ufl.edu/ufid/ and retrieve your UFID via Social Security Number & date of birth.
Once your GatorLink account and password are created, we strongly suggest that you set or store a Password Hint in the system. This will allow you to reset your password anytime that you forget it by answering a difficult question you set.
The GatorLink account creation process can take up to 1 hour, so please wait at least 1 hour prior to accessing any GatorLink authenticated sites.
You will have 2 emails at UF. One will be your GatorLink account (@ufl.edu) and one would be your Department email (@department.ufl.edu). If your department assigns a departmental email to you, be sure to forward your GatorLink email to that address.
After waiting the needed 1 hour period, you will need to set up your GatorLink mailbox and your email Forwarding. You can access both of these links by logging into https://my.ufl.edu. After logging in, go to the ‘My Account’ link and click on either ‘Modify My UF Business Email’ or ‘Set GatorLink Email Forwarding’.
