Welcome to the Program Coordinator Toolkit Series, a structured professional development curriculum designed to support Graduate Medical Education (GME) coordinators at every level. This series offers monthly learning opportunities across multiple tracks, focused skill-building sessions, and on-demand access to recordings and resources.

Our goal is to provide coordinators with practical tools, expert guidance, and an evolving curriculum that grows with the needs of our community.


Our Learning Tracks

Track A – New Program Coordinator Curriculum (1-3 Years)

Designed for coordinators seeking strong grounding in essential GME responsibilities.
Topics may include:

  • GME Foundations & Annual Cycle Overview
  • Accreditation Basics
  • Annual Program Evaluation (APE) & Annual Update
  • Recruitment Basics

Track B – Seasoned Program Coordinator Curriculum (1-3+ Years)

Focused on interpersonal skills, leadership development, and effective communication.
Sessions may include:

  • Strategic communication & Conflict management
  • Designing Surveys for Meaningful Feedback
  • Mentorship and Succession Planning

Track C – All Program Coordinators

Features peer-presented sessions and shared content intended to promote knowledge exchange and professional development among all program coordinators.

Monthly Schedule Structure:

  • Two offerings per month
  • Every month includes one Track A session
  • The second session rotates: some months include Track B, and months without Track B include a Track C session

Session Recordings & Materials

All session recordings, slide decks, worksheets, and supplemental materials are available on mediasite. Access requires GatorLink authentication.

All UF GME program coordinators, program staff, and educational administrators are welcome.

Do I need to register for each session?

Yes. Registration links are provided via email.

Are recordings available if I cannot attend live?

Absolutely. All sessions are recorded, and materials are posted for on-demand access in mediasite.

How do I know which track is right for me?

You can attend any track. Coordinators often choose:

Track A for foundational knowledge

Track B to enhance communication and leadership skills

Track C for peer-learning
Coordinators are encouraged to mix and match based on their goals.

Where can I submit feedback?

A survey link is provided after every session, and you may also send feedback directly to the UF GME Office.

Will this curriculum change?

Yes. This is a new and evolving curriculum. We actively collect feedback after each session and will update topics throughout the year based on coordinator needs.
