Senior Associate Dean of GME and Designated Institutional Official
A Message from the Designated Institutional Official (DIO)
Welcome to the Graduate Medical Education (GME) community at the University of Florida College of Medicine. As your Senior Associate Dean and Designated Institutional Official, I am deeply committed to supporting and advancing the education of our trainees, the professional development of our faculty & staff, and the well-being of our entire GME community.
My passion for medical education and mentorship has been the driving force behind my career. At UF, our GME programs are designed to nurture the professional growth of our trainees while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The strength of our institution lies in our collective commitment to fostering an environment where education, innovation, and collaboration thrive. Every member of our community plays a vital role in this mission—from the program directors who guide our trainees, to the coordinators who ensure the smooth operation of our programs, to the housestaff who embody the future of medicine.
The University of Florida is a place where innovation and tradition coexist, where we honor the rich history of medical education while constantly seeking new ways to improve and advance. To our program directors, coordinators, faculty and housestaff: thank you for your dedication to our GME community and for the exceptional work you do every day. I am excited about what we will achieve together in the years to come.
